Last night, FG’s art teacher hosted a fun “Night of the Arts” show. FG put me on the spot when she showed me her classroom’s board which had their artwork ~ all 16 of them. She asked me to choose the “best” one which really meant I was supposed to pick hers. I couldn’t see any of the names so I decided to go ahead and pick the one I thought was the most artistic and, thank goodness, it was hers 🙂
She loves her art class and especially likes her art teacher. The first thing I thought when I met him was he looks just like a California surfer dude. Think Spicoli from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” I mentioned this to FG once we got home and she said one of her classmates already told him “hey, you look like a surfer dude.” Too funny.
It got me thinking about how much some people remind me of other people ~ famous or not. And they don’t have to look like them but it’s something about their character or mannerisms. The actress I’ve been most compared to is Dana Delany. She’s best known for being the nurse on China Beach.
Who do people compare you to?
Ha ha…thanks Patti 🙂

KBG: whenever I see Nicole Kidman (with straight hair), I think of you.
Beth: I can so see the Annette Benning comparison. Being compared to her is like being compared to Demi Moore ~ they both seem ageless to me.
Nicole: You must be ONE of a kind 🙂

When I had short hair, people would say I looked like Annette Benning, but I think it was just the hair. Besides, isn’t she like 20 years older than me?! Whenever Korean women see D., they point to his cleft chin and tell him, “You look like movie star!” Don’t know which one.

You do kind of look like Dana Delaney! When Dharma and Greg was on TV I was often told that I looked like her (I forget her name now), but I never really thought it to be true. The husband always is told that he looks like Nicholas Cage. I can maybe see that one, but only sometimes.

That’s funny. You do look like Dana Delaney. I never would have put two and two together until I read that but then when I thought about it, it’s true. 🙂 Hmm…I guess I’ve never really been compared to a celebrity. I had a phase where people would approach me and say, “Are you related to so-and-so from such-and-such a place? This happened several times in Germany. I would laugh and say “no” and they would say “oh you look just like…..” That was kinda weird! But no celebs. 🙂
