It may be -6 degrees this morning and the ground is completely white with snow but it’s starting to feel like spring to me. Why? Because when I looked out at 6:10 this morning, it was already light out!
And in about a week, on Sunday ~ 9 March, we spring forward which will only heighten my spring fever.
Happy Spring!
Hey! We’re expecting more snow tonight. I’m not out and about much, anyway, with new baby. I can enjoy the beauty from my nice, warm house!
Planted tulips for the first time last fall. Wonder when they’ll come up here.

KBG: we still have a lot of snow on the ground and more expected tonight. Yeah ~ we’re going skiing tomorrow!!
lisamm: Really? 85? I don’t think it gets that hot here even in August 🙂
bookbabie: It really is amazing what a difference the extra daylight makes! I’ve got an extra spring in my step.
Beth: Come December, you’ll have to keep thinking about the LONG summer days. FM’s CSM came from Alaska and was just talking about the 3.5 hour days in December ~ be sure to invest in a sun-lamp.

I really need spring to come. We’re supposed to get into the low 60s this weekend which is thrilling me! I just looked at Fairbanks weather though–currently -20. I’m afraid I’m going to be a popsicle up there!

The longer days do give us hope, don’t they? I noticed the birds are chirpier in the mornings too, I’m hoping they know something we don’t, like it’s going to be an early, warm spring. If not, let’s go out and visit Lisa:)

I love having more daylight. Now it’s not getting dark here until about 5:30, which is so much better than 4:00! And our mornings are brighter too! I know exactly how you feel (well, apart from the -6 and snow)!
