We’ve managed to keep Harriet alive and well for a whole year now. Actually, she’s thriving and is loving the extra attention from Grandma Betty. Since I wake up at 5 am to get ready for work and Harriet is wide awake at that time, I’ve been letting her roam around while I fix my tea. Good thing Maya was outside when I found Harriet in the dog’s dish:
Happy Birthday to Harriet the Hamster

Sweet pic! We’ve had about 5 hamsters over the years, each one a character in some way. And thanks for stopping by Catty Callie. Weird, but Callie was always more interested in eating the hamster (and now guinea pig) food than the hamster.

Thanks for the comment. It has been awhile since I’ve gone back to my old posts. It brought back good memories of Harriet!

She’s such a good hamster and doesn’t usually try to run away, but we don’t let her have run of the house. We let her run up the stairs and in limited areas where we can keep a close eye on her.

Do you really let her run free in the house? How do you catch her?

How cute. Aren’t these little ones too cute. My dwarf hamsters fill my day with joy.
