For our 14th wedding anniversary, we went to Niagara Falls for an overnight visit. I could have done without the town ~ it’s a bit like Las Vegas off the strip, but the falls themselves are spectacular. We splurged and got the fallsview room at the Marriott. This is the view from our room:
At night, the falls are lit with changing colors which we watched throughout our dinner from the hotel restaurant. We were quite entertained.
The next day we walked around and UNDER the falls.
With the wind, we were all freezing cold, but we kept going because the falls are so powerful and it was fun to watch. While walking around, we stopped in at a couple of venues which have casinos and shows.
I was thinking of you on your special day. Love the view from your room. The falls are one of the first places that Scott and I went to when we first started dating.

We were there a few years ago on the 4th of July. There were beautiful fireworks over the falls.
When we were kids we went in the winter. I was pretty young, but I remember the ice breaking and crashing. It was awesome!
Congratulations on 14 years!

Great pics! We have to get the kids over there – although J thinks it would be fun to go in Feb . . . I think it should be warmer when they experience it for the first time.
Looks like you had a fun time!

Maid of the Mist wasn’t running yet so it’s a good excuse to go back ~ maybe when we have visitors.

Wow, you had an awesome view from your room. The falls are amazing, aren’t they? Did you go on the Maid of the Mist? If you didn’t, go back when it’s warmer and take the boat ride, it’s my favorite part of a visit to the falls!
