This is the hardest post I’ve written ~ I originally started this blog while we lived in Guam so I could keep my mom updated on our lives there since it was too far for her to visit.
My mom had a stroke on 19 March and passed away 24 Mar. The in-between days were a nightmare. The first day, we had high hopes she would recover but on the second day, she took a turn for the worse and …
Thankfully, we have many, many fond memories of her ~ and I’m so glad we were able to spend so much time together in recent years. Had we stayed in Guam for the full three years, we would have missed out on a lot of time together.
Now if I could just stop reaching for the phone to call her ~
I miss you, Mom!
Patti, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I know how much she means to you. God did have a plan for you to leave Guam early…I’m so glad your mom was able to spend more time with you these last couple of years.
You and your family are in our prayers.
Jean, Scott, Nate, Drew, and Lilymei

Patti,
Checked out your blog and I appreciate seeing the details of your mom’s stroke. Do they have any idea what caused it?
I was so happy to see that John was able to be with you all in Hawaii – sorry for the circumstance but I know you were glad to have him there. The service sounds wonderful — and very fitting for her.
Let me know if there is anything I can do. My thoughts and prayers are with you, John and Logan. Much love, Heidi

I have been reading your blog for a long time and though we have never met in person, I am incredibly sorry to read this. I know in so many of your posts you would mention your mom coming to stay or you going to visit…
My deepest sympathies for you and your family. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
