It’s been six years since our last visit to NYC so we took the 3.5 hour train from DC for a quick visit. The reason for making our journey was to celebrate Logan’s birthday and to show our Bangladeshi exchange student the city. We tried to cram as much as we could into our short 48 hour visit. Despite the cold freezing temperatures, we spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying Time Square, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, etc.

I love your pictures of the City, especially the shots from the crown. Thanks for sharing.

You must have been in NYC the same weekend I was! You’re so lucky you booked early enough to go up in the crown. It was sold out by the time I booked our tickets. I’m planning further ahead next time!

That first photo really shows the beauty of the city! Did you take the train from Union Station? I’ve done that a few times and loved the ease of it!
So glad you had fun, despite the cold!!

I have long wished to visit New York. There is a lot of genealogy that I could work on there, plus see the big city itself. 🙂

If you get a chance, definitely visit NYC. It’s an experience like no other! While visiting Ellis Island, John did a little research on his great grandparents who came through the Island in the early 1900s.
