When you fly into National Airport (Reagan) and you’re sitting in a window seat, be sure to have your camera ready. Here are a few photos from my most recent flight (December 2014):
Georgetown University Campus and a little of the surrounding area
Couple of photos with the wing of the plane.
Nice shots. I love to shoot out the airplane window too. ๐

Hi! My friend Laurie Buchwald who happens to be running for Virginia House of Delegates District 12, shared your link. I never sit by the windows but enjoyed the sites here. I’ll be meeting up with Laurie in Washington this April. Thanks for the preview.

Hi ~ I’m hoping to get a chance to meet Laurie and the rest of you when you’re here in DC. Unfortunately, the timing might not work out since it’s spring break for my daughter which means we may take a last minute trip out of town.

Good luck when you fly in. It’s luck of the draw which way they land ~ depending on the winds.

They would do nice post cards, of course without the wings.

Thanks! I was thinking about making coasters with them (without the wing). Before I posted, I cropped the wing off the last two but found I liked the wing showing.

Wow, lucky you. They also approach from the south when I fly. Very nicely done.

Thanks! I was lucky ~ I’m usually on the aisle and on the wrong side of the plane. I’ll have another chance at the end of the month ~ hoping for some nice evening shots.

So cool! I love the drive down George Washington Parkway. There are some great views of these monuments/places but I love your perspective from above…
